Proudly Printed with Made-in-USA Recycled Plastic (and Stainless Steel)
SnapPlates are made with 3D-printed PETG plastic (like water bottles) with strategically-placed stainless steel fasteners to add strength in critical locations. 3D printing gives us the ability to make designs that can't be manufactured using traditional methods with components that are strong where they need to be strong and lightweight where they can be lightweight.
3D printing means:
- Better grille safety compared to metal
- Minimal waste compared to CNC routing
- Less plastic use compared to injection molding
Clean, Minimal Aesthetic
The clean, minimal design blends with the Rivian front end when it’s installed and leaves no unsightly hardware behind when it’s removed. It's easy to install in seconds when you're in areas that enforce front license plate use and easy to remove the rest of the time. It's perfect for owners, like us, who dislike the look of front license plates and don't want to permanently attach one to the car.
SnapPlate is perfect to:
- Avoid screws and adhesives on paint, paint protection film, and ceramic coatings
- Install to avoid tickets while parked at a meter
- Remove to clean your car at home or at a car wash (remove for touch washes!)
- Install for toll-by-plate roads and bridges
- Remove your plate for car shows and photos
- Install a temporary plate to support your favorite team on game day
- Deter theft with torx security screws on the plate and mount
Safety-First, Repairable Design
SnapPlates use rotating latches with multiple contact points to distribute the load on the grille to reduce stress. We know things happen, so we offer low-cost replacement parts for everything we make.
SnapPlates are:
- Paint safe - Dirty felt or rubber pads can still scratch paint, so we don't touch it
- Grille safe - Three rotating latches with six contact points distribute stress on the grille
- Radiator safe - Doesn't affect the radiator or louvers behind the grille for minimal loss of airflow
- Sensor safe - Doesn't affect the radar or parking sensors

Our Story
Early Days
Hi! We’re Kevin (left) and Matthew (right). We've been co-workers since 2015 where we found we had a mutual interest in technology and electric vehicles. We started EveryAmp (then LivingTesla) in 2017 to share our electric experiences with the world.
Introducing SnapPlate
In mid-2019, Matthew got a “fix-it” ticket for not having a front license plate on his Model 3 shortly after he got a new 3D printer at Maker Faire Bay Area, so we began development of the first prototype SnapPlate. By late August, many versions later, we decided it was good enough to show the world and we launched SnapPlate.
Learning Through Tough Times
2019 and 2020 were a blur learning how to operate a growing business in the midst of a pandemic. We're now operating a farm of 3D printers making SnapPlates and other vehicle accessories and doing it with American workers and recycled plastics.
